To celebrate Railway 200 in 2025 the Friends of Hebden Bridge Station have organised an exhibition "185 Years of Train Travel" at the Town Hall during November. Hebden Bridge Library will also have a display. There will probably be some railway themed children's activities in the half term.
Our Annual General Meeting will be held just before our next Ordinary Meeting of the Friends on Friday 17th October 2025 at 11.00am at the Station.
Invitation to the Friends of Hebden Bridge Station from the Hebden Bridge Signal Box Heritage Group
Calder Valley Community Land Trust now has the lease to the signal box from Network Rail, and the Hebden Bridge Signal Box Heritage Group are holding a working party on Sunday 12th October from 10:30 am onwards to clear the vegetation (including brambles and large saplings) that have grown over the last 7 years since the box closed. The group will also be having a look inside the box prior to the work beginning to fit the holiday accommodation pod. Since The Friends of Hebden Bridge Station initiated the saving of the signal box for the community, it was agreed that they should also be invited on 12th October. If you attend, please come armed with gardening gloves, and some gardening tools if you have them.
Garden Working Parties 2025
Working parties are normally held on Fridays lasting from 10.30-11.30 am as given in the table below. Please bring your own trowel, kneelers, and secateurs if you have them. - all volunteers welcome!
